When you look for new paths to follow, you need to have a qualified therapist who is dedicated to you and your long-term mental health
At the Life Mastery Center, our goal is to help you have a happier life by identifying negative behaviors and thought patterns that can interfere with positive mental health. Armed with that knowledge, Dr. Dean Kirschner can then help you develop strategies to help change your thoughts and behaviors. You can take control of your thoughts and behaviors before they take control of you. Ultimately, you can learn to enjoy more positive feelings, productive behaviors, and better overall life functioning.
Dr. Kirschner combines a cognitive behavioral approach with pragmatic, goal-focused therapy. Dr. Kirschner helps clients with a range of concerns, including traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, and weight control issues. Since 1987, Dr. Kirschner has helped individuals, couples and families throughout Maryland and southern Pennsylvania, including Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Essex, Ellicott City, Towson, Lutherville, Cockeysville, White Marsh, Catonsville & Owings Mills, to reach their goals and live happier, more productive lives.
INDIVIDUALS
Individual therapy is a collaboration between you and Dr. Kirschner, with the goal of improving your quality of life. Therapy can help you recognize the negative thoughts and behaviors that are dominating your life. You can change, and therapy can help you develop the strategies you need to take control.
FAMILY THERAPY
Family therapy addresses the complicated, dynamic interactions that occur within the family unit to help understand the issues that may be affecting one or more individuals with the family. At the Life Master Center, the goal is to develop more positive family relationships that can then change the behavior of the individual and the family system.
COUPLES
Healthy relationships require honest communication, trust, and mutual respect. Marriage and couples therapy can help you both understand and change the negative behaviors, thoughts, and communication styles that are affecting your relationship. It can teach you the skills to start changing negative behaviors, and develop positive ways to move from conflict towards cooperation and mutual respect.
