ABOUT THE CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Since 1987, Dr. Dean Kirschner of the Life Mastery Center has helped individuals, couples, children, and families reach their goals and live happier, more productive lives. Dr. Kirschner wants his clients to learn how to take control of their thoughts and behaviors, and in turn, take control of their life.

Dr. Kirschner is trained to be your guide to renewed mental health and self-fulfillment. Whether your pain is related to fears, phobias, anxieties or other personal challenges, Dr. Kirschner will work with you as your start on a path toward a more positive outlook on life. He can help you understand how thoughts and thinking patterns are interfering with your positive life perspective. From there, he will help you challenge those thoughts and thinking patterns, so you can begin to enjoy more positive feelings, more productive behaviors, and better overall functioning in life.

Dr. Kirschner holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona, and a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Dr. Kirschner earned his doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland. His specialization was healing of traumatized families.

Dr. Kirschner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a Certified Hypnotherapist. He is trained in individual psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, as well as marriage and family therapy.  Dr. Kirschner’s fundamental therapeutic orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
