Behavior Change & Modification

What is Behavior?
be-hav-ior, n.
  1. the manner of conducting oneself
  2. anything that a person does involving action and response to stimulation b: the response of an individual or group to the environment
  3. the way in which someone behaves.

Simply put: How you act or react is called behavior. The process of systematically altering how you act or react is called Behavior Modification. It is a highly developed process that allows you to make changes in your behavior and your life.

Behavior can manifest itself in both positive and destructive ways. Habits that have been learned or practiced since childhood may cause you to react to other people in certain ways. You may eat because of certain stimuli. You may feel good or bad about yourself as the result of old patterns. All behavior and thoughts can be changed. You can make a difference in yourself and your life.

At the Life Mastery Center you will be educated on how to effect change in your behavior. What in your life causes you to act the way you do? With training and education Dean Kirschner will help you understand and react differently. You will recognize the triggers that stimulate your actions. You will discover how and why you learned the responses you did. Using therapeutic techniques geared toward positive change, you will take charge and be in control over your own behavior.
